Mark Plummer, Ph.D.
Mark S. Plummer, PhD is a Research Associate at the Yale Center for Molecular Discovery. His experience includes preclinical drug discovery in several therapeutic areas with expertise spanning mass screen triage, structure-based drug design, lead optimization, and project leadership. Mark in his Pharma career has delivered numerous biologic POCs and clinical candidates in cardiovascular, oncology, pain, inflammation, and antibacterial therapeutic areas. Mark joined Yale in 2012 working with Ron Breaker on F- riboswitch antagonists and with Craig Crews on VHL ligands prior to joining YCMD. Within the pharmaceutical industry, Mark served as a project leader and a design leader at Pfizer in Groton Ct and Ann Arbor MI and previously at Parke-Davis in Ann Arbor where he and his teams delivered six clinical candidates. Mark obtained his BA at Colby College, his PhD at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and did post-doctoral studies at Stanford University. Mark is an author on 36 papers and an inventor on 11 patents.
