CellProfiler Image Analysis Nanocourse
The Yale Center for Molecular Discovery will be hosting Mark-Anthony Bray, Ph.D., developer of the free, open source software CellProfiler, to teach a one day hands-on workshop on biological image analysis using Yale computers in the StatLab Labat CSSSI. The goal will be for participants to start developing analysis workflows for their own cellular images to address individual image quantification needs.
Students will learn how to quantify features of their images in a robust, scalable way. The course will provide the basic instruction needed to load and view images, identify and quantify relevant biological image features, and generate output in various useful formats.

The course will also introduce CellProfiler Analyst, a data exploration package which features a machine learning tool capable of automatically discriminating phenotypes of interest based on samples provided by the researcher.
