Three Awesome Connecticut Undergrads Join YCMD as Summer Interns

June 18, 2019

Every summer, the Yale Center for Molecular Discovery sponsors research internships with the team to develop new capabilities and brighten our days. This summer, we have three undergraduate students. (1) Zosia Caes is a rising sophomore at Yale University planning to study Chemical Engineering. She comes to the Center to learn how to optimize CRISPR experiments and learn more about what kind of projects are performed in a chemistry lab. (2) Kirby Kidd is a rising junior at the University of Connecticut and comes to us through the New Haven Promise program. This summer he will learn how to create a database to efficiently compare the same compound across all Center projects to identify new patterns within the data . (3) Lydia Ogbe is rising sophomore at the University of Connecticut majoring in Allied Health Science. She also comes to the Center through the New Haven Promise program. She is interested in the healthcare field and would like develop a better understanding of the research side of medicine this summer, as she sees research as the backbone of medicine. We are excited to have these three talented students join us here at YCMD!
