YCMD was delighted to host a multiday workshop for the Systems Pharmacology and Integrated Therapeutics (Pharm 537b) class. Students learned a lot about high-throughput assay development, screening of small molecule libraries, validation of screen actives and preclinical development. They also participated in a hands on biochemical assay simulation. Teams of two were taught how to generate, analyze, and evaluate data for quality control. Our specialized equipment was used along the way to dispense nanoliter droplets of compound and to determine if any screen actives were found in our sample. It was a “hit”!
